New York city-based songwriter Amy Speace is a street-smart folk/Americana artist with an edge, prompting comparisons to artists like Neko Case, Lucinda Williams and Roseanne Cash. A world-class voice, award-winning songs and an engaging stage presence led the North American Folk Music Alliance to nominate her as their "Emerging Artist of the Year."

A city girl who grew up on old country music and immersed herself in everything from opera to garage rock, Amy writes smart, genre-bending songs, infused with empathy and a poetic directness, that bridge the gap between folk, country and rock.
